Balanophora fungosa J.R.Forst. & G.Forst. subsp. fungosa
This is a root parasite found in the tropical rainforest. It has no chlorophyll. The white tipped structures at the base are male flowers. The female flowers are the very very small white dots on the top of the dome. The species is subject to predation by feral pigs.
